The Changing the Story (CTS) is an international, multi-disciplinary project which supports the building of inclusive civil societies with, and for, young people in post-conflict settings.
The project is funded by the UK’s Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC), Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF), and coordinated by the University of Leeds, also in the UK. The Highland Institute (THI) is partnering with the University of Leeds to implement a 12-month CTS project in Nagaland state, India.
The three-member TKI team are making documentaries highlighting issues facing young people in post-conflict Nagaland. With the help of Dr Amrit Virk, Principle Investigator, Leeds U.K and Dr Piyush Roy, Jain University, Bangalore, India, and in collaboration with local NGOs, they are tackling issues such as mental illness, substance abuse and youth unemployment.
This project is headed by Dr Michael Heneise and has concluded on February 2020.
